The Farm Dog

This is my farm dog, Annabell! No, she doesn't hold any real responsibilities around the farm but she thinks that she's is crucial in the harvest process. She does however provide company. Whether I'm stuck in the truck, tractor, or combine for long periods of time, having her beside me makes the day more enjoyable. If Annabell sees or even hears a tractor/combine she gets really excited. She will get so excited that she can't contain it and will begin running all over the place. And you better believe, wherever you go she is there without missing a beat. She would rather miss a meal than miss the opportunity to ride alongside in the tractor. 

                                                       
One of Annabell's favorite things is watching the animals. As we travel across the field, we see deer, birds, squirrels, but Annabell's favorite is the bunny rabbits. As soon as a Rabbit pops up Annabell gets excited and intensely watches where they go. 



           
                                                                                    
                                                                                                                                     
As you can tell from this picture being a farm dog is hard work for her! She wears herself out running all over the farm and she gets her well deserved rest while she is riding in the tractor and combine.

     Farming has benefits when it comes to shaping the minds of kids. Farming teaches kids great motivation, good work ethic, kindness, leadership, and several other aspects that make a well-rounded individual.     I have lived my whole life working on a farm. I have been in tractors and combines since I was only two months old. Now after 18 years, I cannot imagine growing up any differently. Biden Pays Farmers Not to Farm

The government serves a major role when it comes to agriculture. Some of the government's policies affect the domestic economy, foreign affairs, and trade initiates, which have an impact on agriculture production. Local government agencies play a role by providing food safety, inspections, soil conservation, and environmental protections. The government's actions have both negative and positive consequences.  The Biden administration is working to combat climate change. One way Biden wants to go about climate change is paying farmers not to farm. In theory, if the farmers stop working their land then it will decrease the carbon footprint. But leaving open fields can lead to more carbon in the atmosphere. The program wants farmers to not farm their land for 10-15 years, then they can begin growing crops again. Farmers are being overlooked

 Farmers often get overlooked by society and this is the case because people are not educated about all that farmers do for the world. Several people when they think of farmers think that their dirty uneducated people which in most cases is not true because most farmers today have some sort of higher education. Farming can have very unexpected expenses like a tractor broke down and now they have to spend roughly $100,000 to buy a new one. This is the reason why most farmers have higher education so they can have a steady full-time job outside of farming. Farming has good years and bad years, so they cannot solely rely on the farm income to have a steady happy life. Farmers get overlooked wherever they are. You may experience while driving that you get stuck behind a truck and wagon hauling grain to the elevator (where the grain is sold).
